37 Weeks and 30 Years Old!!

So another week has come and gone...the time is going by faster and faster!  It could be because I am trying to cram so much nesting into such a short period of time....organizing, cleaning, running errands, more organizing, house projects (for Steve anyway), etc.  We have finally gotten the house mostly back to normal and the nursery was finished (a few things left to finish in the bathroom, but nothing I'm too worried about!) just in time for my 30th birthday. 

I am still in awe that I am 30 -- I'm not really freaked out by the number 30, but more so by how fast the time has gone.  I vividly remember finishing four years of college at Miami University and standing on the porch of The Shanty, saying good-bye to the 8 most amazing roommates a woman could ask for, before we went our separate ways in the real world.  I moved to Charleston, SC at the young age of 22 for my first job, then came back to OH, where I met the man of my dreams, who became my husband 3 years after we met.  The beginning of our marriage had us moving to South FL for Steve's job, where I found a company that I still work for today, almost 4 1/2 years later.  He decided the career path he was on wasn't what he wanted in life, so he went back to school and found a job in a new field.  We've supported each other, loved and honored the other's wishes and dreams, and that has led us to this point....about to embark on the most amazing journey since we met almost 7 years ago -- parenthood!  So although I am sad to see the chapter of my 20s close, I am excited to see what the 30s will bring...a little girl that will be my daughter and all the lifelong memories she will bring us! 

My 37th week appointment was pretty uneventful -- no progress from last week, but that is OK as there are still quite a few things I need to wrap up at home and work!  But I did have a great weekend celebrating my birthday with my extremely thoughtful husband, amazing sister, and fantastic friends!  Thanks to everyone for the love and wishes on my special day!
